1. Spiritual Life & Lineage
Swami Girdharanand Paramhans Ji was an exalted third-generation spiritual master in the sacred Paramhans lineage of Sant Mat (the devotion of Param Purush rooted in the revelations of Sant Kabir Sahib). He resided and guided seekers at his primary ashram located in Village Haveliya, District Gonda, Uttar Pradesh.
Throughout his life, Swami Girdharanand Ji was deeply dedicated to preserving the pristine spiritual purity of Satya Bhakti, guiding seekers beyond the snares of external rituals, mantras, and karmic bondages.
2. Initiation & Bestowal of Succession (1968)
In the year 1968, an 18-year-old youth named Madhu Paramhans (who had recently joined the Indian Army's Mahar Regiment) arrived at the Haveliya ashram in Gonda. Recognizing immediately that Madhu Paramhans possessed complete mastery over mind, senses, and body (Jitendriya and Bal Brahmachari) and held the divine spiritual flame of Param Purush, Swami Girdharanand Ji took the historic step of:
- Appointing Madhu Paramhans Ji as his sole spiritual successor during his own lifetime in 1968.
- Bestowing upon him the sacred title and mantle of "Sant Satguru".
- Authorizing him in 1970 to awaken souls and transmit the Alive Holy Name (Saar Naam / Sanjeevan Naam).
3. Legacy & Continuity
Swami Girdharanand Paramhans Ji’s sacred memory and spiritual mission continue to illuminate millions of lives today through the Sahib Bandgi Spiritual Organisation (officially registered as Sant Girdharanand Paramhans Sant Ashram).
