( 9 ) From the time of S'rī Purushottamaji Sampradayika scholars began to devote their attention to the study of the Aṇu-Bhāshya. Different scholars began to study the Aṇu-Bhāshya, and expound the same in their commentaries from diverse standpoints. S'rī Mathuranāthaji and S'rī Muralīdharaji both descendants of S'rī Vallabhacharya belonged to the house of S'rī Gopīnātha Dīkshita. Both of them were great Mīmāṁsakas. They have written commentaries on the Aṇu- Bhāshya independantly of S'rī Purushottamaji. In their commentaries they display their great hold over the Mīmāṁsā school of philosophy. The com- mentary written by S'rī Mathuranāthji is called प्रकाश, while that written by S'rī Muralīdharaji is named सिद्धान्तप्रदीप.
