With the reading ° kule we should render 'he dwells as it were in a family... 101 Shvan 'dog' probably means more exactly 'pack of dogs' : cf. a shva and Panini iv. 2. 48. 109, 110 We might translate 'If between sun and moon there were hostility ..., they would not continue'.
