Adh. LXVIII. Sl. 20-25.] अष्टषष्टितमोऽध्यायः 547 उन्नतकुक्षाः क्षितिपाः कुटिलाः स्युर्मानवा विषमकुक्षाः। सर्पोदरा दरिद्रा भवन्ति बह्वाशिनश्चैव ॥२०॥ Slokas 19-20.—Those with fleshy sides become wealthy ; with sunken and crooked ones, are devoid of the pleasures of life ; with an even stomach, enjoy the pleasures of life ; with a sunken one are without happi- ness ; with a high one. become kings ; with an uneven one, crafty ; with a serpentine (very long and thin) one, penniless and gluttonous. परिमण्डलोन्नताभिर्विस्तीर्णाभिश्च नाभिभिः सुखिनः । अल्पा त्वदृश्यनिम्ना नाभिः क्लेशवहा भवति ॥२१॥ वलिमध्यगता विषमा शूलाद्वाधां करोति नैःस्वयं च । शाठ्यं वामावर्त्ता करोति मेधां प्रदक्षिण गतः ॥२२॥ पार्श्वयाता चिरायुषमुपरिष्टाच्चेश्वरं गवाढ्यमधः । शतपत्रकर्णिकाभा नाभिर्मनुजेश्वरं कुरुते ॥२३॥ Slokas 21-23.—People become happy by a navel that is round, raised and broad ; afflicted with troubles by one that is small, almost invisible and deep ; poor and die of colic (or wound from a spike) by one that is sur- rounded by folds of skin and uneven ; rogues by one that is turned from right to left ; intelligent by one that is turned from left to right ; long-lived by one that is elongated at the sides ; lords by one that is broad at the upper end ; owners of cattle, at the lower end ; and kings by one that resembles the knob in the centre of a lotus. शश्वान्तं स्त्रीभोगिनमाचार्यं बहुसुतं यथासंख्यम् । एकद्वित्रिचतुर्भिर्वलिभिर्विद्यान्नृपं त्ववलिम् ॥२४॥ विषमवलयो मनुष्या भवन्त्यगम्याभिगामिनः पापाः । ऋजुवलयः सुखभाजः परदारद्वेषिणश्चैव ॥२५॥
