( VI ) ‘Realistic Idealism’, technically known as ‘Trike’. His present commentary entitled Vimarsini eloquently reveals his matchless scholarship. The original book written in Sanskrit aimed at showing the way to reach the essence of God or the essence of God Shiva. By translating in Hindi a book of this kind of great value to all devotees of Dharma, Acharya Shri Krishnanand Sagar has performed real public service. Quite obviously this valuable and rich volume will now become available to far more people, as so many more people know Hindi than Sanskrit. The work of translating Utpaladeva’s original book together with the commentary written by Acharya Abhinavagupta was not easy and Acharya Shri Krishnanand Sagar is to be congratulated for having accomplished the task so well. For him it has been a labour of love and duty. I am confident that it will inspire all who read it to think more deeply and sustainedly and thus come closer to God. H. M.
