आचार्य्य नानक पन्द्रहवीं शताब्दीके अन्तमें प्रगट हुये। वे कबीर साहबके शिष्य थे। इस कारण वह एक प्रकारके हिन्दू एक ईश्वरवादी थे पर उनके धर्मका मुख्य अभिप्राय सबको एक धर्ममें मिलानेका था।

(2) H. H. Willson, in his Essays on the religions of Hindus in section III Page 69 treating of Kabir Panthis says :—

The effect of his (Kabir's) lessons as confined to his own immediate followers, will be shown to have been considerable, but their indirect effect has been still greater; several of the popular sects: being little more than ramifications from his stock, while Nanak the only Hindu Reformer who has established a national faith, appears to have been chiefly indebted for his religious notions his predecessor Kabir.

२-एच० एच० विलसन साहब अपनी दरसनामक किताब (हिन्दुओंके धर्मके विषयमें ६९ पृष्ठ तीसरे प्रकरण) में कबीरपंथियोंके विषयमें लिखते हैं कि, कबीरसाहबकी शिक्षाका प्रभाव उनके मुख्य २ शिष्योंपर बहुत पड़ा था। उनकी शिक्षाका प्रभाव उनकी अनुपस्थितिमें उससे बढ़कर हुआ। क्योंकि, सब पंथोंको इस पन्थकी शाखायें कह सकते हैं। नानक साहबने जो हिन्दुओंमें एक विशेष धर्मके आचार्य्य हुये। प्रायः अपने धार्मिक ध्यानोमें कबीर साहबका अनुकरण किया है।

(3) In giving a note on the above mentioned he (Willson) quote following from Malcarm, "that Nanak constantly referred to the writing of celebrated Kabirs and the Kabir Panthis assert that he has incorporated several thousand passages from Kabir's writings.

३-ग्रन्थ रचयिताके पूर्व लिखितका व्याख्यान करनेके समय मालकाम साहबके लेखसे निम्नलिखित अनुवाद किया है कि,

"नानकने प्रख्यात तथा सुप्रसिद्ध कबीरके विषयका अनुकरण किया है। कबीरपंथी कहते हैं कि, नानकने कई सहस्र साखियों कबीर साहबकी पुस्तकोंसे ली हैं।" यह बात मालकम साहबकी पुस्तक भारतके इतिहासमें देखो।

(4) Monier Williams a noted man, who personally visited India and who was the Professor of Sanskrit in Bialal College, Oxford, in his book named "Religious Thoughts and Life in India" in Chapter VI under the heading of Theistic sect founded by Kabir in page 158, writes :—
