In this connection, it is worthy of note that since Rājaśekhara places this country in the exact north, the northern part of Baluchistan may also be taken as the Barbara country. 115. Bālhaveya ...Rājaśekhara locates this country in the northern India. This may be the same as Bhāṭia near Multan. Native historians and the early Arab geographers mention Bhātia as a strong fortress near Multan on the Indus. Cunningham also mentions it as Bhātia or Bāhiya or Bāhatiya and locates it between Multan and Alor or Aror. (see Cunningham's A. G. p. 294 and Map. ix. ). 116. Bālhīka ... ...See Vāhīka. 117.
