( १८० ) made ता by ‘ आ सर्वनाम्नः ’ पा० ६ ३ ६१ । कलहंसलक्षण— कलहंसः लक्षणं यस्य तत् कलहंसलक्षणम् on which the figures of swans are painted ‘ चिह्नं लक्ष्म च लक्षणम् ’ इत्यमरः । or, कलहंसवत् लक्षणं ( स्वरूपं ) यस्य तत् कलहंस- लक्षणम् which is ( white ) like a swan कलहंस is a name of several species of goose ‘ कादम्बः कलहंस स्यात् ’ इत्यमरः । वधूदुकूलं—वध्वाः दुकूलं ( पट्टवस्त्रम् ) the fine raiment or cloth of a newly married woman ‘ वधू— a newly married woman ‘ वधू स्नुषा नवोढा स्त्री ’ इति विश्वः दुकूलम्—a kind of plant and also very fine cloth or raiment made of the inner bark of this plant. शोणितबिन्दुवर्षि—( √वर्ष+णिनिः ) शोणितस्य बिन्दून् वर्ष- तीति शोणितबिन्दुवर्षि dripping blood-drops गजाजिनम्— गजस्य अजिनं ( चर्म ) गजाजिनम् hide of an elephant ‘ अजिनं कृत्तिः चर्म ’ इत्यमरः । It is mentioned in my- thological books that Shiva after killing Gajasura danced with his body covered with the skin of the demon which was dripping with blood, and used it afterwards as a trophy कदाचित्—कस्मिन्नपि काले even in the least. योगम्—सङ्गतिम् coming together The ascetic means to say that leaving other things aside even the articles of dresses of Parvati and Shiva differ very much from each other, and when there is so much incongruity about the outer things how far it was proper for Parvati to have a yearning for Shiva 67.
