The Vir Vinod says that in 1432 A.D., Ahmad Shah, the King of Gujrat started with a large army on a conquering expedition, and passing through Jheelwara (part of Mewar) began to plunder the country and break temples, and that the Maharana hearing of this, started at once to attack Ahmad Shah.
