संदर्भ में पढ़ें81] Act V, Princes in Combat — Translation [—v. 36² demon] Khara, or that skill¹ exhibited in the murder of [Vālin] the son of Indra—the people are all conversant with that! 35 Chandraketu—Fellow! In traducing father [Rāma] thou art going beyond all bounds: Wilt thou then be so defiant? Lava—Aha! He is frowning upon me, is he? Sumantra—All ablaze now is their wrath! For,— The tremor produced by excitement has unloosened the knots of hair tied upon their forehead; their eyes, partaking slightly of the nature of a red lotus, redden spontaneously: and, by the sudden movements of the knitted eyebrows, their faces wear the beauty of the moon in which the spot is prominent, or of a lotus with the bees hovering around it. 36 The two Princes—Let us then hence repair to a place suitable for combat.² All go out. END OF ACT V CALLED PRINCES IN COMBAT. ¹ Rāma struck Vālin, the King of the Monkeys, while the latter was engaged in fight with Sugrīva. ² The place, however, was already suitable for combat in that it is on this very place that Lava routed the soldiers a while ago.
