षष्ठः पटलः । ८७ स्नुहीक्षीरेण¹ संपेष्य पुटाद्विप्रो मृतो भवेत् ॥ १०२ ॥ करवोरार्कदुग्धेन मेषशृङ्गं² सद्धिङ्गुलम् । उदुम्बर³समायुक्तं पुटात्⁴ क्षत्रियमारणम् ॥ १०३ ॥ बाला चातिबला⁵ चैव गन्धकं कर्कटास्थि⁶ च । क्षीरेणोत्तरवारुण्याः⁷ पुटनाद्वैश्यमारणम् ॥ १०४ ॥ कण्डूलसूरणेनैव⁸ शिलया⁹ लशुनेन च । न्यग्रोधशङ्ख¹⁰दुग्धेन शूद्रोऽपि म्रियते क्षणात् ॥ १०५ ॥ स्थूला बहुस्थूलपुटैः¹¹ नश्यन्ति फलकादयः¹² । सुस्विन्ना¹³ इव जायन्ते मृदुत्वमुपजायते ॥ १०६ ॥¹⁴ (1) B has सुहिक्षीरेण. (2) B reads मेषभङ्ग, which is incorrect. (3) M reads औदुम्बर. (4) Both B and M read पुटे : but they read पुटात् and पुटनात् (in the 5th case-ending) before and after this śloka, i.e. पुटात् in 102, and पुटनात् in 104. (5) B reads बला चातिबला (a mere tautology, अतिबला is a kind of बला, which has four different kinds.) [बाला = ह्रीवेर.] K reads बला वा निक्षुना, which has no clear sense. (6) K has कच्छपास्थि. M has गर्भं कच्छवरास्थि, which is inc. (7) पुटेनंत्तरवारुण्याः, a variant in M. (8) K reads कङ्गुनी न सूरणेन, which is not only grammatically incorrect, but also defective in metre. (9) B reads शिया, ल being left out by the scribe. (10) B reads शंख, which seems to be the blunder of the scribe. (11) K reads पुटे. M reads बहुमूलपुटैः. (12) K has प्रकलादयः. (13) सुखिना is the incorrect reading in B. This hemistich is wanting in K. M reads सुस्मिन्न, which is inc. (14) After this śloka we find in B—सामान्यवज्रमारणम्. As other MSS. are silent in this point, we did not adopt this in the body of the text.
