५० रसार्णवे भस्ममूषा तु विज्ञेया तारसंशोधने हिता¹ ॥ ४२ ॥ मोक्ष²क्षारस्य भागौ द्वौ इष्टकांशसमन्वितौ³ । मृद्भागास्तारशुद्ध्यर्थमुत्तमा⁴ वरवर्णिनि⁵ ॥ ४३ ॥ रक्तवर्गेण सम्मिश्रा रक्तवर्गपरिप्लुता⁶ । रक्तवर्गकृतालेपा⁷ सर्व्वशुद्धिषु शोभना⁸ ॥ ४४ ॥ शुक्लवर्गेण सम्मिश्रा⁹ शुक्लवर्गपरिप्लुता । शुक्लवर्गकृतालेपा शुक्लशुद्धिषु शोभना¹⁰ ॥ ४५ ॥ विड्वर्गेण¹¹ सम्मिश्रा धृतिमित्स्छति जारणे¹² । (1) तस्मान्मूषा तु विज्ञेया तारसशोधने हिता, a variant in B. तारके शोधने हिता, a variant in K. तारसंशोधने हिता, a variant in M. All appear to be the error of the scribe. We do not find any mention of this मूषा (भस्ममूषा) in रस.स. (2) M reads मोष. (3) रष्टकां च सम- न्वितं, a variant in B, which is incorrect. ईष्टकांशसमन्वितं, a variant in M. (4) B and K read सुशम, which is not grammatically correct. (5) सुरवर्णिनि is the reading in K, which is not accurate. (6) K reads रक्तवर्णपरिप्लुता, which is incorrect. (7) रक्तवर्यकृतालेपा, a variant in K, which is an error of the scribe. (8) This charaṇa and the next three charaṇas are wanting in M. (9) K reads मिश्रा या. (10) सर्व्वशुद्धिषु शोभना, a reading in K. शुक्लसिद्धिषु शोभना, a reading in M. [For रक्तवर्ग and शुक्लवर्ग see the next Paṭala, v. 39 and v. 40 respectively.] (11) K reads विड़वर्गेण. M reads षड्वर्गेण च. (12) धृतिमिक्कति कारणे, a variant in M, which is meaningless. K reads ऋतिमिक्कति जारणे, which has no clear meaning. We have adopted the above reading, after collating all the texts.
