It does not suffice merely to compute the S'uddhis alone in the beginning of the years but a rigorous compu- tation necessitates the calculation of the moments of New Moons and Samkrāntis also during the particular years as well, in as much as, the motion of the Moon also comes in- to the picture and it differs from month to month on account of the rapid motion of his apogee.
