ADH. 6.] VEDĀNTA-PĀRIJĀTA-SAURABHA 175 Vedānta-kaustubha Smṛti declares the equality of the individual soul, freed from all bondage, with the Supreme Soul, in the passage: 'They have come to attain equality of attributes with me' (Gītā 14 2). Hence, it is established that the small ether is none but the Supreme Soul. Here ends the section entitled 'The small' (5) COMPARISON Śaṁkara and Bhāskara Reading different, viz. 'Api ca smaryyate' Interpretation different, viz—'Further, Smṛti (viz. Gītā 15 12, etc.) declares (the Soul to be the cause of the manifestation of all)' ¹ Rāmānuja and Baladeva Reading 'Api smaryyate'. ² Śrīkaṇṭha Reading 'Api ca smaryyate', i.e. 'Moreover Smṛti declares (that the Lord is to be meditated on as abiding in the heart-lotus ³)'.
