LXVI. 5, LXVII. 1-2.] सप्तषष्टितमोऽध्यायः 539 Slokas 4.—Among the (ten) necessary hairy circles, there is one on the lower side of the upper lip, one in the hairs of the fore-head, two between the belly and the navel, two just above that, two on the head and two on the breast. षड्भिर्दन्तैः सिताभैर्भवति हयशिशुस्तैः कषायैर्द्विवर्षः सन्दंशैर्मध्यमान्त्यैः पतितसमुदितैस्त्र्यब्धिपञ्चाब्दिकाश्च । सन्दंशानुक्रमेण त्रिकपरिगणिताः कालिकाः पीतशुक्लाः काचा मक्षीकशङ्खावटचलनमतो दन्तपातं च विद्धि ॥५॥ Sloka 5.—A colt (of one year) has six white teeth, which become tawny when it is two years old ; when it is three years, the incisors fall and reappear ; when four years, the next teeth ; when five years, the last teeth. The same three teeth will after every subsequent period of three years become black, yellow, white, coloured like काच, coloured like black salt, .wax, conch shell, become hollow, shaky and at last fall out. Thus ends the 66th Adhyaya on "the Signs of Horses." हस्तिलक्षणम् ॥६७॥ Signs of Elephants. मध्वाभदन्ताः सुविभक्तदेहा न चोपदिग्धा न कृशाः क्षमाश्च । गात्रैः समैश्चापसमानवंशा वराहतुल्यैर्जघनैश्च भद्राः ॥१॥ Sloka 1.—The elephants whose tusks bear the colour of honey, which have limbs proportionately developed, are not too stout, nor too lean, are fit for work, have equal limbs, back-bone similar to a bow and hips like those of boars are called Bhadras. वक्षोऽथ कक्षावलयः श्लथाश्च लम्बोदरस्त्वग्बृहती गलश्च । स्थूला च कुक्षिः सह पेचकेन सैंही च दृङ्मन्दमतङ्गजस्य ॥२॥
