Sl. 29-33 ] अष्टाशीतितमोऽध्यायः 687 चिक्किचिक्रिवाशितमेव तु कृत्वा दक्षिणभागमुपैति च वामात् । क्षेमकृदेव न साधयतेऽर्थान् व्यत्ययगो वधबन्धभयाय ॥२९॥ Sloka 29.—If the Durbali itself crying like "Chick chiki" flies from left to right, it helps to maintain only the status quo (or gives only bodily wealth) and does not fulfil the cherished objects. If it is otherwise (flies from right to left), it causes fear of death or imprisonment. क्रक्रेति च सारिका द्रुतं त्रेत्रे वाप्यभया विरौति या । सा वक्ति यियासतोऽचिराद्गात्रेभ्यः क्षतजस्य विस्रुतिम् ॥३०॥ Sloka 30.—A Sarika (மைனா) crying like 'Krakra' quickly or like "Tretre" fearlessly, indicates the flow of blood erelong from the limbs of a person starting on a journey. फेण्टकस्य वामतश्चिरिलिविरिल्विति स्वनः शोभनो निगद्यते प्रदीप्त उच्यतेऽपरः ॥३१॥ Sloka 31.—The “ चिरिल्लि, इरिल्लि ” sound of the Phenta to the left is declared to be favourable; the contrary, “Burning”. श्रेष्ठं खरं स्थास्नुमुशन्ति वाममोङ्कारशब्देन हितं च यातुः । अतोऽपरं गर्दभनादितं यत् सर्वाश्रयं तत् प्रवदन्ति दीप्तम् ॥३२॥ Sloka 32.—A donkey standing in a place to the left of a traveller is said to be very good; one producing the sound of ‘Om’ is beneficial to him; all other varieties of the donkeys’ braying wherever it may stand are called “Burning.” आकाररावी समृगः कुरङ्ग ओकाररावी पृषतश्च पूर्णः । येऽन्ये खरास्ते कथिताः प्रदीप्ताः पूर्णाः शुभाः पापफलाः प्रदीप्ताः ॥ Sloka 33.—The stag and the deer producing the आ sound and the spotted antelope, the ओ sound are ‘full’;
