छायाहंकारयोरैक्यं
तप्तायःपिण्डवन्मतम् ।
तदहंकारतादात्म्याद्
देहश्चेतनतामगात् ॥

प्रतिबिम्बित चेतनता और अहंकार का सम्बन्ध तपे हुए लोहे के गोले और अग्नि के समान होता है। अहंकार जब देह से तादात्म्य करता है, तब देह भी चेतनवान् हो जाता है।

In the opinion of the wise, the identity of the reflection and of ego is like the identity of the fire and the iron ball. The body having been identified with the ego passes for a conscious entity.
