अखण्डैकरसं वस्तु
सच्चिदानन्द लक्षणम्।
इत्यविच्छिन्न चिन्तेयं
समाधिर्मध्यमो भवेत्।।

तत्पश्चात् यह सत्ता अखण्ड, एकरस, सच्चिदानन्द स्वरूप ब्रह्म ही है। इस प्रकार किसी न किसी विषय को निमित्त बनाकर सतत तत्त्वविवेक बनाए रखना मध्यम प्रकार की अर्थात् शब्दानुविद्ध सविकल्प समाधि होती है।

The entity which is always of the same nature and unlimited and which is characterized by Existence- Consciousness-Bliss, is verily Brahman. Such uninterrupted reflection is called the intermediate absorption, that is the Savikalpa-Samadhi associated with scriptural word.

स्तब्धीभावो रसास्वादात् तृतीयं पूर्ववन्मतः। एतैस्समाधिभिः षड्भिः नयेत्कालं निरन्तरम्।।

जब स्वानुभूति के रसास्वादन से स्तब्धीभाव तुल्य अवस्था होती है, तब वह तीसरे प्रकार की अर्थात् निर्विकल्प समाधि हो जाती है। इस प्रकार छह समाधि के अभ्यास में अपना काल व्यतीत करना चाहिये।

The insensibility of the mind as before, on account of the experience of Bliss, is designated as the third kind of Samadhi (Nirvikalpa). The practitioner should uninterruptedly spend his time in these six kinds of Samadhi.

देहाभिमाने गलिते विज्ञाते परमात्मनि। यत्र यत्र मनो याति तत्र तत्र समाधयः।।

जिस समय देहाभिमान का नाश तथा परमात्मा का विज्ञान प्राप्त हो जाता है, उसके बाद मन कहीं पर भी जाए वह समाधि अवस्था में ही रमता है।

With the disappearance of the attachment to the body and with the realization of the Supreme Self, to whatever object the mind is directed, one effortlessly revels in Samadhi.

भिद्यते हृदयग्रन्थिः
छिद्यन्ते सर्वसंशयाः।
क्षीयन्ते चास्य कर्माणि
तस्मिन् दृष्टे परावरे॥

माया से परे इस दिव्य तत्त्व का दर्शन होने पर हृदय में स्थित अविद्या तथा समस्त कर्मों का क्षय हो जाता है।

By beholding Him who is high and low, the fetters of the heart are broken, all doubts are solved and all his karmas wear away.
