I 93); ल्ह ल्ह FGK (E) is also acceptable. • नांगइ DEG (JBC) (= defacing)¹ is the original reading > लांगइ F, ( भांजइ A, भागई K. ) 97 कविलास AK pref. as a Rājasthānī form; it also rhymes better. किलास E is another Rājasthānī variant. 100 त्रीवल (= 'three pairs of bullocks')—failing to grasp the meaning, J emends the reading by substituting a Sanskritized variant, वृषभ. 103 कोलाहल ABCK pref. as a more representative reading; हालाहल D, or होलाइल E (FG) (cf. हालल्लोल I 73) is also possible. 111 तेजी BFG (A) pref; तुरी CJK (DE) is also acceptable. 114 मुहिम em. should be the original reading > महिम BK, महम् A (F), मुहि G (D). 116 मिलवा ABFG pref. to मत्वा CDE as the Rājasthānī form. 118 कुणि A (K) pref. > कणि BCE, किणि D, which also, are acceptable. 121 त्रिहुं ABDJK (CGEF). I (Derūsari) emends it as बिहुं। 129 नेस DEFG pref. as more representative, and also as rhyming with देस just preceding. From नेस > रेस A. 131 संभालउ JK (cf. संभालु B, सामलयो G) pref. to संभाले ACF, संभलावे D, as the context requires here a verb in the Imperative. 134 लिगारइ pref. as a Rājasthānī form. 135 साल्हु सोभनु बलवंत राउत restored; cf. साल्हउ सोभउ अति बलवंत III 35. 136 तुरक A pref. to avoid tautological repetition with दल, 136 iii qr, and कटक, 137 i qr. 140 मन AF pref. as the original reading (cf. मन ADFJE I 151; मल ABL IV 176); मत GK is also possible. 145 आयसि D (F) is the original reading > variants आइस A, आवस GK, which drop the case-termination. 149 फूटइवाज em. from KACDFG is the original reading > फूट्या व्याज B, a mislection, and मूंषि वल्ला J, an unwarranted restoration. 154 टाडि F pref. to दाडि ABJK as it rhymes with ताडि in the next caraṇa. 161 मुष A pref. as a Rājasthānī form. 177 विगुत्तां DK (B) is the original reading > विगूपन A, विगूपनि G, वियोगनं F. 181 रानाहु BDG is accepted (cf. सन्नाह C); रानाइ AK (JF) is also possible. सान्यां बान अपार ABEG is more representative than बांन न लभइ पार D (CJ) and also avoids repetition with ii qr preceding. 182 तउ pref. to इनइ तु E or इवि तु CDGJ for metrical reasons. ¹ नांगइ = व्यङ्गयति, अनङ्गीकरोति; cf Bālaśikṣā of Saṁgrāmasiṁha; 'Prācīna Gujarātī Gadya Sandarbha', p. 212
