२४८ कान्हडदे प्रबन्ध Khaṇḍa I Verse 202 असमुहीया ऊठइ A preferred to ऊठइ असमुहिया E ( D H K ) as usually the odd quarters end in a verbal form in adjoining verses, and also as the initial rhyme is preserved. यलशाक A ( B D E ) pref. ; यलयाक GH ( K ) is also possible. 214 लडाइ D pref. to लहीइ E J for rhyme. लडाइ is the original form >, वढाइ A, वादि C, होई K. 216 दीया AC ( J ) pref. to गाला BEHK ( D ) as the context requires a verb here. 220 रिण A ( K ) pref. as a Rājasthānī form. 221 कणवि A H ( E ) pref. ; कणसे B D J is also acceptable (cf. III 80, 101). 225 रोजी ABK ( H ) pref. to रेवंग CDEJ for metrical reasons. 229 वेणि BDJ (= Sk वीणा) pref. to वीण E, वेणा H. 232 त्रिणि DJ accepted; त्रिन्हि A, तिन्हि E also equally acceptable. 233 कूटउ नवि ( B C K ) reads better in the context than नवि कूटउं ( D J A H ). 234 Note — The word बीर in वानर बीर has, by association, lead BK to restore as पावन बीर. हणीया A ( H ) pref. metrically to मार्या B C D E ( J ). 249 बोलिइ D ( H ) (cf. बंधव J) preferable in the context to बोलइ A. 255 राय A B C D J K emended as राइ to rhyme with पूजाइ in the next caraṇa. सईवाटी ( A ) is the original reading > सिवाडी B, सउवाडी D ( CJ ), छइ वाडी K. 256 b reconstructed from CJ; necessary for uniformity with the ending caraṇas of the remaining Khaṇḍas (Vide II 168, III 251, IV 353). Khaṇḍa II Verse 1 रिदि J ( D K H ) pref. as the proper owg form (cf. I 9): ऋदि A B C is a Sanskritization. 2 कृपा ABK pref. to भूमि CJ ( D ) as a more representative reading. 3 पुल्ह AK ( B ) pref. to पल्ह HD ( CJ ), as a Rājasthānī form. 4 रुलंता A ( K ) pref. to रलंता BCDJ, as a Rājasthānī form. नयरि B ( A ) pref. to नगरि CDK as an earlier form (cf. I 18, III 124). 6 पहिरन AK adopted; पहिरणि B C D J is, probably, a feminine form of the same. 7 दुख्या दीसइ D ( C ) pref. to भगइ दुख्या K ( BH ) as more suitable in the context. 8 मुहुणि is the original reading, which, through false analogy with मुह (Sk मुख) > मुंहि C, मुह थइ H. 10 दइ AK pref. to दिइ J, दि BCDH, as a Rājasthānī form. दिवराणां ( AJ ) pref. as an earlier form than देवराणां C ( B D H K ). 11 एकइ एकि AK pref. to एकाएकि J ( D ); cf.
