It is interesting to note how सूत्रधार D (Sanskrit) > सूत्रहार JK (earlier owR) > सुहतार H (later owR) > सूतार C (modern Gujarati). 133 रंडमाल A (CJ) adopted ; मुंडमाल BD (H) also acceptable. 140 त्रापड AH (L) pref. to त्रापडा J (BK) for metrical reasons. 142 तुरणी pref. as a Rājasthānī form. 144 अतिइ घण A (C) is more suitable to the context than एवडउ K (LBDHJ). सविहुं A pref. as giving better sense than होइ BL (DHK) ; हुइ or होइ also possible. 147 पली BJK is certainly preferable to बली ACDHL, which is quite pointless here. It fact बली in the mss is very likely a mislection for पली. लिप्या is preferable as a Rājasthānī form. 148 बोल इसउ (B) adopted ; इसउ बोल K also acceptable. 152 (पइठी) जमहर माहि A pref. to (पइठी) पावक माहि BHK (CDL) ; (cf. II 146 अम्हे सवे जमहरि पइसिस्यूं). 154 पडिउ A. It is difficult to determine the correct reading here. भडिउ H (D) may be also possible. 155 सेटटी A adopted as giving better sense; the more representative reading, however, is छूटटी BDHK (meaning ?). 159 एतलइ पहुतउ A (BHL) pref. as preserving the initial rhyme better than पहुतु एतलइ K (CDJ). 167 वीरायतन DK is the original reading (cf. वीरायतनि J, वीरायतन L) > वीरायन AC. Khanda III Verse 3 ग्या A pref. to गया BCDHJKL as a Rājasthānī form. 5 It is interesting to note how वसि ABDK gave rise to सेव C : वसि > [वसे >] सेव C, by transposition. 7 घरि AB is adopted (though CDHJKL omit it), as the postposition तणइ immediately preceding the word presupposes the existence of a noun in the locative. पाट AK pref. to ठाठ BCDHJ, as a Rājasthānī form. मंदारि (K) preferable to मंदार ABCDHJ for ending rhyme with (इरि in) the next caraṇa.
