( २२२ ) of अलं which is used in the sense of ' enough ' See notes on अलं समाधिना in verse 45. यथा—as ; of whatever sort तथाविध —तथा विधा ( प्रकारः ) यस्य स तथाविधः so ; of that sort अशेष—न शेषः यस्मिन् कर्मणि तद् अशेषम् , fully , without any reservation अत्र— in Shiva भावैकरसं—भावः ( प्रेम , शृङ्गारः ) एकः ( अनन्य . ) रसः ( आनन्दं ) यस्य तत् predominated solely by the sentiment of love ; entirely swayed by the feeling of love. Or, भावे ( भक्तौ ) एकः रसः ( आनन्दो ) यस्य तत् भावैकरसं which finds delight only in devotion for Shiva. भावः—love See notes on भावस्थं in verse 58 स्थितम्—निश्चलं is fixed or set ( on him ) कामवृत्तिः— कामं ( यथेच्छं ) वृत्तिः ( वर्त्तनं ) यस्य स who acts as he likes, or, कामः ( इच्छा ) वृत्तिः यस्य स who follows his will वचनीयम्—( √वच् +अनीयर् ) निन्दां ; लोका- पवादं ill-talk, bad report न ईक्षते—न विचारयति does not take into consideration ; does not care for. ' न कामवृत्तिर्वचनीयमीक्षते ' is a general statement mean- ing that a person who follows his own will does not care for other's adverse criticism This defends Párvati's conduct in not caring for the opinion of the ascetic because she had set her heart on Shiva. 82. CHANGE OF VOICE :—विवादेन अलम् त्वं तं यथा श्रुत- वान् तथाविधेन अशेषं तावद् भूयताम् , मम मनसा अत्र भावैकर- सेन स्थितम् ; कामवृत्तिना वचनीयं न ईक्ष्यते ॥ ८२ ॥
