And then: “स्तने चेटोनासिकायां ध्मश्चेति वाच्यम्” ( पा० ३।२।२९ वा० ) इतिखसि नुमागमः । Yes, Pāṇini 3.2.29 is "नासिकस्तनयोर्ध्माधेटोः", and the Varttika is "स्तने चेटो नासिकायां ध्मश्चेति वाच्यम्", giving the affix खश् (or खस्), which gets नुम्-आगम to form "स्तनन्धय"! This makes 100% complete grammatical sense!
