संदर्भ में पढ़ें( २१७ ) इन्द्रः Indra ‘वासवो वृत्रहा वृषा’ इत्यमर । See notes on it in verse 61 उपगम्य—( उप+√गम्+ल्यप् ) समीपं आगत्य coming near ; approaching असम्पदः—नास्ति संपद् यस्य सः असम्पत्, तस्य of him who possesses no wealth. वृषेण—वृषभेण on a bull. ‘उक्षा भद्रो बलीवर्द ऋषभो वृषभो वृषः’ इत्यमर । तस्य—शिवस्य of him (Shiva) मौलिना—शिरसा by his head. विनिद्रमन्दार- रजोरुणाङ्गुती । विनिद्र —विगता निद्रा यस्य स विनिद्र (विक- सितः) a full-blown flower. मन्दार —देववृक्ष one of the five trees of paradise Here, the flowers of that tree, so मन्दारस्य इमे मन्दारा. (मन्दार+अण्) । अण् is dropped and hence no change in the word प्रभिन्नानां मन्दाराणां रजोभि (परागैः) अरुणा (रक्ता) अङ्गुलयो ययोस्तौ प्रभिन्नमन्दाररजोरुणाङ्गुती whose toes are made red with the pollen-dust of the full blown flowers of the heavenly trees Adj of पादौ । The colour of the toes of Shiva's feet is changed by the colour of Mandar flowers borne on the head by Indra This verse is a suitable reply to ‘इयं च तेऽन्या पुरतो विडम्बना’ verse No 70, and contains a contrast between वृष ( a bull ) and दिग्धारण ( an elephant of the quarters ) Párvatī says it is immaterial it Shiva has a bull for his vehicle when Indra whose vehicle is ऐरावत coming to him bows his head before him It shows the real greatness of Shiva 80
