द्वितीयोऽङ्कः 207 पक्षपातम्—(1) Flapping of wings ; पक्षयोः पातः ( ६तत् ) or पक्षैः पातः ( ३यातत् ) flying with wings. (2) Affection or love, partiality पक्षे पातः ( ७मीतत् ) तम्। Inclination to one side. कथयन्ती—Speaking ; but the implied sense ( लाक्षणिकोऽर्थः ) is ‘indicating.’ मानसम्—(1) Mānasa lake ( the resort of the swans ). (2) Mind. चित्रगता—(1) With beautiful movement. (2) Drawn in the picture. चित्रं गतं ( गमनं ) यस्याः ( बह्व ) सा, or चित्रं गता ( २यातत् ) चित्रार्पिता इत्यर्थः। The metre आर्या। The figure of speech is श्लेषानुप्राणितोपमा। Ch. Voice.—...लीनावधूतपक्षया कथयन्त्या......कया चित्रगतया राजहंस्या च्चभ्युपेयतं ॥ Shloka 10. The King here summarizes the difficulty that might have been undergone by the Creator after the creation of this beautiful lady. अपूर्व etc.—पूर्णः इन्दुः ( कर्मधा ) अपूर्वः पूर्णेन्दुः ( कर्मधा ) तम्। निजासन etc.—Adj. to धाता। आसनमेव अम्भोजम् ( कर्मधा ) निजम् आसनाम्भोजम् ( कर्मधा ) तस्य विनिमीलनम्। ( ६ष्ठीतत् ) तेन दुःस्थितः ( सुप्स्पा ) । अम्भसि जायते यत् ( उपपदतत् ) ; दुःखेन स्थितः इति दुःस्थितः ( प्रादि ) ; put to a disadvantage owing to the closing up of the lotus-seat of His own.
