पौढ रहै लिपटाय, अंग अंगनमें उरमे । बहुत लगी जब प्यास, तबहिँ चित चाहत सुरमे ॥ उठ पियत रात आधी गये, शीतल जल या शरदको । नर पुरयवन्त फल लेत हैं, निज सुकतहिंकी फरदको ॥४८॥

सार--- शरद की चाँदनी रातमें, मैथुनसे थकी हुई कामिनोके हाथोंका लाया हुआ जल भाग्यवान् ही पीते हैं ।

47. He is surely unfortunate who after the midnight being quite exhausted by speedy copulation, feeling very thirsty and being intoxicated with wine, does not drink the cool and pure autumn water bright as moonlight from the brassy pot on the lonely roof of the palace, brought by the weak hands of his wife, who is also tired on account of copulation.

हेमन्त-महिमा ।

हेमन्ते दधिद्वयसर्पिरचना माञ्जिष्ठवासोभूतः कार्मीन्द्रवसान्द्रदिग्धवपुषः खिन्ना विचित्रै रतैः । पीनोरःस्थलकामिनीजनकृताश्लेषा गृहाभ्यान्तरं तांबूलीदिलपूषपूरितमुखा धन्याः सुखं रोते ॥४८॥
