प्रथमोऽङ्कः 43 ( দুইজনে প্রবেশ করিয়া ) বিদূষক—( বিস্ময়ের সহিত অবলোকন করিয়া ) মহারাজ, দেখুন দেখুন, মলয়- পবনের দ্বারা আন্দোলিত মুকুলিত চূতমঞ্জরীর রেণুসমূহ দ্বারা একটা চন্দ্রাতপ বিরচিত করিয়া এবং মত্ত মধুকরসমূহের ঝঙ্কারমিশ্রিত কোকিলস্বররূপ সঙ্গীতের দ্বারা সুখাবহ হইয়া যেন মকরন্দোদ্যান আপনার আগমনের জন্য সাদর অভিনন্দন প্রকাশ করিতেছে। অতএব আপনি প্রবেশ করুন। রাজা—(চতুর্দ্দিকে অবলোকন করিয়া) আহা মকরন্দোদ্যানের কি শোভাতিশয় ! এখানে— সমুদ্গত প্রবালের ন্যায় কান্তিবিশিষ্ট পল্লবসমূহের দ্বারা-তাম্রবর্ণ আভা ধারণ করিয়া ভৃঙ্গসমূহের মধুর গুঞ্জনের দ্বারা অস্পষ্ট ভাষার বিলাস প্রকাশ করতঃ মলয়ানিল-তাড়নে চঞ্চল শাখাসমূহ দ্বারা মুহুর্মুহুঃ আন্দোলিত হইয়া বৃক্ষ সকল মধুসম্পর্ক ( মধু—বসন্ত অথবা মদ্য)-জনিত ভ্রান্তি (ভ্রম অথবা ভ্রমণ) লাভ করিয়া উন্মত্তের ন্যায় দেখা যাইতেছে। (পাঠান্তরে—এই বৃক্ষ সকল এখন মধুসংসর্গ পাইয়া উন্মত্তের ন্যায় শোভা পাইতেছে ) ।।৭।। Eng.
