46 রত্নাবলী যুবতীগণের মুখাসবকে যেন সুগন্ধ করিতেছে। তরুণীর মুখচন্দ্র মদ্যপানের দ্বারা ঈষৎ সহাস্য তাম্রবর্ণ ধারণ করিলে পর আজ বহুদিন পরে চম্পকপুষ্পসমূহ (যেন) শোভা পাইতেছে। অশোকবৃক্ষে পাদাঘাতকালে নূপুরসমূহের গম্ভীর শব্দ অনুক্ষণ শুনিয়া ভ্রমরগণ যেন গীতের দ্বারা নূপুরধ্বনির অনুকরণ করিতেছে। ১৮। বিদূষক—(শুনিয়া) হে বয়স্য, নূপুরশব্দ যে অনুকরণ করিতেছে ইহারা মধুকর নহে। এই নূপুরশব্দ নিশ্চয়ই মহিষীর পরিজনবর্গের। রাজা—বয়স্য, তুমি ঠিকই অবধারণ করিয়াছ। (তারপর উজ্জ্বলবেশ ধারণ করিয়া বাসবদত্তা ও কাঞ্চনমালা এবং পূজোপকরণ হস্তে করিয়া সাগরিকা প্রবেশ করিলেন) বাসবদত্তা—ওলো কাঞ্চনমালে, মকরন্দ উদ্যানের পথ দেখাও। কাঞ্চন—দেবি, আসুন আসুন। বাসব—(পরিক্রমণ করিয়া) ওলো কাঞ্চনমালে! সে রক্তাশোকতরু আর কতদূর?— যেখানে আমি ভগবান্ কুসুমায়ুধের পূজা করিব। Eng.
